This November marks National Anti Bullying Week.
Recognising the importance of this issue, Stockport based Facility Management business, Solutions SK are hosting a FREE Learning Seminar for all schools they work with. The seminar features guest speaker, Alex Holmes, who will speak about how you can shape an Anti Bullying culture within the school environment.
The event takes place on Friday 24 November at The Ryder Suite, Café on the Park, Park Square, Birdhall Lane, Cheadle Heath, Stockport. SK3 0XN, and is sponsored by UK Containers and supported by Neweys & Eyres.
Guest speaker Alex Holmes was bullied at school and as a result, has made it his mission to talk and
educate children and adults about how to make a difference in shaping a school and community environment, to safeguard and support children through these challenging experiences. Alex, the only young person to have won the Princess Diana Memorial Award three times, will speak to the event delegates about his experience. He will also run an interactive workshop where as teams, delegates can discuss different bullying scenarios and the best ways to manage these situations.
Alex is famous for his 3P motto – Passion, Perseverance and Politeness – the latter being the most important message encouraging young people looking out for other young people.
Stephen Morris, Managing Director at Solutions SK, comments,
“We launched these learning seminars for schools in 2016 and they’ve been a huge success. To date, we’ve tackled key issues such as food culture and obesity, funding application skills and now, bullying. We take our role in the community very seriously. We view our relationship with our customers as a partnership rather than just a service provision. Our commitment to providing these seminars helps demonstrate this.”
CEO of event sponsor, UK Containers was highly inspired to support the event, Emma Elston comments,
“We are thrilled to be supporting Solutions SK’s anti-bullying event. As a mum, the safeguarding of children is something that is very close to my heart, as the things they experience at a young age can have a lasting, and sometimes, devastating effect on the rest of their lives. It was great to see key figureheads from schools in the region coming together and tackling this poignant issue.”
To book a free place on the seminar, email email@example.com by Friday 3 November. Please note, places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis. Schools are limited to a maximum of two places per school. For more information call 0161 474 5563.
