Celebrating Our Successes – Expert Felling of a Landmark Beech Tree at Reddish Vale

Our Arborist Team recently demonstrated outstanding expertise and professionalism while undertaking the complex removal of a huge Beech Tree at Reddish Vale.

The tree, measuring over 20 metres in height and identified as structurally defective, was located adjacent to a community-planted orchard, making precision and care essential. The task was led by Andrew Hutchinson, Lead Arborist within our Greenspace Team, whose extensive experience and technical skill were critical to the successful outcome..

Using a carefully executed directional notch, back cut and hinge, Andrew safely felled the tree with exceptional accuracy, ensuring the least possible impact on the surrounding orchard and landscape. This level of control reflects both his years of hands-on experience, and the high standards upheld by our Arborist Team.

Andrew was supported on site by fellow Lead Arborists, Gordon Tudor, Che Varley, and Jordan Mitchell, who played a vital role in maintaining public safety, supporting the operation, and efficiently processing the felled tree.

The project has since received excellent feedback from our clients at Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, further highlighting the professionalism and capability of our Arborist Services.
