TLC Fleet Investment Programme – New Recycling & Refuse Rural Vehicle

Totally Local Company is pleased to announce further details regarding the latest addition to our Fleet Investment Programme with the introduction of a new Recycling & Refuse (R & R) Rural Vehicle.

The new R & R vehicle is built on a 7-Tonne IVECO chassis and is fitted with a Zoeller Micro HG Mini Compactor side-loading refuse body. Delivered by one of our main Recycling Collection Vehicle (RCV) suppliers, Faun Zoeller, the vehicle represents a significant investment in improving our rural Recycling and Refuse collection services.

Image: The vehicles compact design makes it particularly well suited to rural environments, where smaller, highly manoeuvrable vehicles are required to access narrow roads, remote locations, and challenging terrain. The vehicle is also highly adaptable, supporting both recycling and refuse collection operations.

The new R & R Rural Vehicle will be operated by our experienced rural drivers to collect recycling and refuse waste presented in sacks and bags, which are manually loaded into the vehicle body. The integrated compaction capability increases load capacity and delivers clear operational benefits, including improvements to manual handling and overall efficiency.

This vehicle has replaced an ageing caged tipper and marks a positive step forward in our ongoing Fleet Investment programme, modernising our fleet.

Totally Local Company is currently one of only two organisations in England operating this type of vehicle, further strengthening our Recycling & Refuse collection services for our key client, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.
