As with all new additions to our fleet, the vehicle has undergone full servicing and preparation in our Fleet Workshop at Endeavour House, Bredbury Park Way, ensuring it is fully road-ready and meets our operational standards.

Following this process, familiarity training sessions have been delivered to our supervisors, with knowledge and best practice then cascaded to our drivers. This approach ensures our teams are confident and fully up to speed with the latest technology from day one.

The decision to invest in SCARAB’s Large Mechanical Sweeper (LMS) brings a range of benefits to our Environmental and Streetcare Services, including:

Environmental Impact Reduction:

  • Single-engine sweepers like the SCARAB are designed to reduce emissions, making them a greener choice.

Fuel Efficiency:

  • The hydrostatic gearbox technology allows for efficient power distribution, leading to significant fuel savings compared to twin-engine models.

Noise and Pollution Reduction:

  • These sweepers operate with minimal noise and exhaust pollution, contributing to a quieter and cleaner environment.

This investment highlights Totally Local Company’s continued commitment to improving environmental performance, operational efficiency, and the quality of services delivered to our communities.
