Totally Local Company is proud to celebrate World Book Day 2026 by supporting reading for pleasure in the primary schools we serve across Stockport and Greater Manchester.
This year’s national theme, ‘Go All In,’ invites children to choose what they want to read — creating a fun, inclusive and enjoyable approach to exploring all types of books and stories.

To celebrate World Book Day 2026, we have gifted 25 of the primary schools we work with to a collection of brand-new books to inspire young readers and support classroom learning.

Our Catering Management Team carefully selected engaging and educational titles that spark imagination while supporting learning and cultural awareness.
The gifted books include:
- 20 Shakespeare Children’s Stories: The Complete Collection by Macaw Books
- The Diaries of Robins Travels by Ken Lake and Angie Lake
About the Books
The Diaries of Robins Travels takes children on exciting adventures around the world, introducing them to new places, people, and cultures. Through storytelling, pupils expand their understanding of global communities while developing curiosity and empathy.
20 Shakespeare Children’s Stories: The Complete Collection presents beautifully illustrated and accessible adaptations of Shakespeare’s works, specially designed for children aged 7–9. These simplified retellings introduce young readers to stories that have shaped much of our heritage and culture, building early literary appreciation and confidence.
