When and why did you join TLC?
I joined TLC in November 2013. With extensive experience in HR management, I relished the opportunity to lead such a hardworking and dedicated workforce. I knew I had the skills to make an impact from day one, to build a solid infrastructure to grow the business, reward good performance and support continuous development.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
I bring three essential strengths to the role: capability, honesty and integrity. Along with these, I bring a commercial thought process and analytical problem-solving capability. I’m always looking for ways I can develop myself along with others, my focus is ‘getting results through people’. I make sure we always have a pragmatic approach when implementing business plans, so that we not only align with our priorities, but develop the organisation, too.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
The most important elements of TLC to me are our people, our customers, and looking after the success of the business.
What values are most important to you?
To promote, honesty, integrity and trust. To honour your commitments and conduct yourself in a way that promotes fairness and respect. Teamwork and great results should always be celebrated, diversity of thought and experience should always be encouraged.
When and why did you join TLC?
I joined the team in July 2024. As a people and customer focussed operational leader, I was looking for a role in which I could use my skills and experience to add value across these areas.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
I am an accomplished senior leader with a wealth of experience in creating and optimising processes, developing leaders, motivating colleagues, maintaining customer relationships, and continuously improving service delivery and quality standards.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
With the majority of TLC being members of the local community, the passion to make friends, families and neighbours lives better by ensuring that the services delivered by TLC are completed to the highest possible standard was the first thing that I noticed when I joined the business. The pride that our people take in their work makes me extremely proud to be a part of the team. The most important elements of TLC to me are our people and the quality of our services.
What values are most important to you?
Teamwork, integrity, and trust are essential. Having the ability to depend on your colleagues to do the right thing, whilst working together to achieve a common goal, are the basics by which success is achieved. At TLC we accomplish everything together.
When and why did you join TLC?
I joined TLC back in 2008 when we were known as Solutions SK – I’ve been proud to play a part in the development of this company to where it is today.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
Over 30 years’ experience working in the sector – I’ve become something of an expert in the role. I’ve previously worked on some pretty important projects in the northwest like the Metrolink and the Mancunian Way. I have extensive experience in TUPE and emergency contingency.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
Being part of a positive culture, where people’s contributions are genuinely appreciated is very rewarding to me. The opportunity to grow in a company I can be proud of is very important.

When and why did you join TLC?
I Joined TLC in 2007 in an Operational Management role. I enjoyed the daily challenges and the satisfaction that delivering quality services brings. The company delivers many different services in the community I live in, so I wanted to become a part of it.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
Over 38 years’ experience in the waste and environmental sector working in strategic, client management, and frontline operations. Along with my experience, I’m passionate about delivering a quality service to the residents and businesses of Stockport.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
What’s important to me is that our great company continues to grow. As a result of our dedication, I hope we can retain our excellent reputation as a quality, value for money frontline service provider.
What values are most important to you?
I believe it’s vital to lead by example, be adaptive, maintain a positive attitude and always keep up a strong work ethic.
When and why did you join TLC?
I joined the team in December 2021 as Workshop Manager and progressed to be promoted to Divisional Head of Fleet Service in December 2023.I was attracted to the opportunity to continue my career within Transport Management.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
As a fleet manager I have a dynamic and innovative approach, which leads me to be efficient which provides high operational performance. I am passionate about my team and challenge them to deliver a quality service.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
Teamwork, working with other departments to achieve our goals together. Working with a leadership team that has a positive culture. Developing the team and giving them the skills required to be successful.
What values are most important to you?
I believe in leading by example, keeping a strong work ethic. I value honesty and commitment from my team. I believe in the importance of being open and understanding.
When and why did you join TLC?
I joined Totally Local Company in 2007, I was eager for a change in career and TLC looked like a fantastic team to be a part of.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
I bring 15 years’ experience in managing services to the public and private sectors from quotation through to delivery. I am adept at developing and modernising services and also identifying, mentoring, and supporting individual’s development.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
We work as a team to get the job done, bringing together skills across departments to achieve goals. The company breeds a sense of belonging: we’re proud of our work and we celebrate success. We’re committed to building a sustainable service for the future of TLC and our customers.
What values are most important to you?
I want people to be accountable for the job they are asked to do. If a job’s worth doing, do it properly! I believe in the importance of trust and honesty, and I’m open and understanding-always willing to lend an ear to anyone who needs it.
When and why did you join TLC?
I joined Totally Local Company in 2008. With a strong background in operational and facilities management, I saw an opportunity to put my experience to work in a business that directly supports its local community. I wanted to contribute to a company that prioritises quality services and creates positive, safe environments for the people it serves.
What strengths do you bring to the role at TLC?
Throughout my career, I’ve progressed through a range of operational and management roles. This has given me extensive experience in leading people, managing resources, delivering projects, and overseeing budgets. My focus is always on ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
I also hold a HND in Management and Leadership from the ILM, along with IOSH and First Aid certifications, which support my commitment to professional, compliant, and high-performing services.
What’s most important to you about TLC?
As Divisional Head of Facilities, I oversee our commercial services, which includes the cleaning of schools and business premises, and the provision of school meals for the education sector across Stockport and Greater Manchester. What matters most to me is making sure we provide safe, clean, well-maintained environments, and nutritious, balanced meals that support children’s learning, wellbeing, and development. Ultimately, I want our services to enhance everyday life in the community we serve.
What values are most important to you?
I’m passionate about operational excellence and the delivery of reliable, sustainable services that benefit both our employees and the wider community. Beyond work, I value spending quality time with family and friends, watching my son play football, and exploring new places together.
