Following a very successful Bake Sale on Friday 15th June, we are delighted to announce that Totally Local Company employees raised £100 as part of the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day.
Dementia devastates lives. In the UK, someone develops dementia every three minutes and there is currently no cure. ‘Cupcake Day’ is a national fundraising campaign for the Alzheimer’s Society. It aims to raise awareness about dementia by encouraging people to host bake sales at home and at work. All donations go towards research into the illness and local support services for people with dementia.
Alzheimer’s Society is the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. They have committed to spending £150 million on cutting edge-research over the next decade. Until the day they find a cure, Alzheimer’s Society will be there for anyone affected by dementia.
Following a very successful Bake Sale, we are delighted to announce that we raised £100 for Alzheimer’s Society. Thank you to all our bakers and those donated.
Whilst the national Cupcake Day was held on Thursday 15th June, Totally Local held our own bake sale a day later to bring it in line with our monthly dress down day.
