Congratulations to Carrie Bryan on completion of her HSS Ladder Safety Training.
Carrie is one of our Quality Leads and works with our Schools Catering teams and kitchen employees. As part of her role Carrie regularly audits the school kitchens, of which Totally Local Company (TLC) provide catering services. Each kitchen unit has a set of safety ladders that are assessed as part of the Health and Safety Section of each audit. Carrie, therefore; was recently tasked to attend an official ‘Ladder User’ training course.
This training will ensure that Carrie understands how to safety check the ladders in our schools kitchens. Following completion of the training and successfully passing the course, Carrie was also invited to complete the ‘Ladder Inspector’ course.
Carrie passed all the tests with flying colours. Now that she has this additional qualification under her belt, she can assess all the ladders in our school kitchens, to confirm they are safe to use.
Having this qualification is extremely beneficial to TLC because this means that we do not have to employ the services of an outside safety agency to inspect the ladders in our school kitchens. This will save our valuable time in resources and money as Carrie can now safely carry out our ladder inspections. As part of her job, Carrie also achieved the recognised Safeguarding Training qualification that enables her to safely enter our schools.
At Totally Local Company we promote a Safety-First culture in all that we do.
Thank you and well done to Carrie for achieving her new qualifications.
