Friday 24th November saw schools from across Stockport take part in the Solutions SK Anti-Bullying conference as part of National Anti-Bullying Week.
The conference featured guest speaker Alex Holmes, talking about how to shape an anti-bullying culture within a school environment. Alex, who has won the Princess Diana Memorial Award three times, ran an interactive workshop which discussed bullying scenarios and ways to manage these situations. He also demonstrated the power of peer support programmes within a school environment and the positive effect they have on tackling bullying.
Solutions SK Managing Director, Stephen Morris said;
“This was a fantastic event which saw safeguarding leads and teachers from across Stockport tackle the difficult topic of bullying. Alex is incredibly inspirational and his work will no doubt make a difference in countless number of children’s lives.
Once again I am very proud of the work that the Solutions SK team does to support our community and I am look forward to our next event.”
